I hate to say it, but the Lakers are playing much better lately. Davis is playing excellent defense, and Westbrook coming off the bench just looks like he drank from the fountain of youth. But, after a few more games, the schedule will get rough, and we'll see what happens then.

Is he still holding his back? As long as he's doing that he'll go down sooner than later.

They don't play again until Friday, so Davis can give his back a bit of a rest.

How the hell they get 5 days off in the middle of the season?

NBA really favoring Lakers with their schedules

Simmons hasn't scored 10 points or recorded 10 assists once this season. And only one game with 10 rebounds. My god he is terrible.

Simmons is about to be out the league after this contract. I don't see how anyone pays him ever again

I was listening to a video talking about his decline and mentioning he was averaging 6pts, 6 assists, and 6 rebounds a game.

I’m surprised they didn’t make the obvious jokes there.

Someone will pay him mid level… his days of big contracts are well behind him though.

I still can't believe the Nets bailed out the 76ers. I would have sat and paid Harden's fat arse for the next few years before taking on his contract.

Just means they are in for a world of pain later in the year. I for one am looking forward to a bunch of old guys playing on the road

Exactly ... they are 3-10 in their first 13 games under the absolute best starting circumstances that they could have asked for:

- They were healthy to start the season.
- They have only played one back to back
- Westbrook has taken a bench role and been decent (for him)
- They have only left California 3 times
- They have played in their home arena 9 times.

As injuries and fatigue start really hitting this team, they will be fighting through it on the road and during B2Bs.

The team being better when LeBron is off the floor, AD’s continual decay, and Westbrook looking decent on the second unit have to be a major junk punch for their fans.

They bet heavily on a Big Three and that bill is about to come due. And they don’t control their own pick until 2025 at the earliest (if we exercise the 24 pick), so tanking won’t help them at all.

I just mentioned they have only left the State of California 3 times this season, which is mindbogglingly crazy. Again, that means in basically a month, they only left their state twice (with the Denver and Minneapolis games being their only true road trip).

For comparison, the Pelicans have played out of the State 8 times in the same time frame (with only 5 home games) and we have already been on three road trips.

They have two more home games, and then they start a stretch where 16 of their next 22 will be on the road, which will last into January.

Yep. They had a Mickey Mouse start to the schedule compared to most and went 3-10. They are going to get pummeled on this big stretch of games.
