Everything would depend on the cost.

CJ-BI-Herb-Zion-JV would be a fun team.

Yeah we’ve already traded the Lakers pick (granted I guess we could trade the 1-10 protection on the pick) and we can’t trade 2023 given that we might not have our 2022 pick (unless we put some weird deferral on it that pushes it to 2024 if we lose our 2022 or something). Either way, seems like BS.

That guy has been making stuff up about the Pels for the last year and a half. He’s just click baiting you.

My favorite thing in the world is when fake insiders make something up that is literally impossible.

Yeah, that's why I said to take it with a huge grain of salt. Just throwing it out there for the discussion.

And there's no way we're trading 3 young players plus a top 10 pick plus an additional 1st for CJ.

Griff wouldn't trade more for CJ than he got for Jrue

But with his age it has a limited shelf life. I wouldn’t even give up a 1st for it. They get Hart or Graham. If they don’t like it see if they can flip them for something they do like.

Hart/Sato/Future protected 1st would be my final offer

Exactly. We get 1, maybe 2 years of that and then we have to re-up CJ when we have to pay Zion/BI/Herb?

It’s basically walking right back into the issue with Jrue.

You have a guy not on your timeline that will require a massive overpay to keep and now Griff may want to basically empty the coffers to bring in someone that is a lesser player than that guy.

If we do what Buford outlined I have no words except we should have fired Griff in the off-season along with SVG. This would be the ultimate frick it, playing with house money, damned if I do, damned if I don’t scenario

That said, Buford’s track record is not great, to say the least, so I’d rather a better source

Crazy idea:

Pacers get Hart, Nurkic, Satoransky, NAW and 2 picks (1 FRP and 1 SRP)
Blazers get Sabonis & Rubio's expiring
Pels get McCollum & Justin Holiday

It would basically be two deals (Rubio and a second for Nurkic would be the second deal)

Pacers get another big who they could keep for the long-term, Hart who would help on the wing for them, a young piece in NAW to replace what LeVert gave them, 2 future picks to help with the rebuild, and Satoransky's expiring

Blazers get a big that can pair with Dame moving forward, Rubio's expiring to help go into the offseason, and save another $5-6m from the tax line

Pels get CJ and another bench shooter that can defend

Sounds like they want a bit more for CJ than we've already offered. Guess we'll have to throw in Herb and BI to get CJ.

Landon Buford @LandonBuford · 17m Pelicans last offer to Blazers was: Satoransky, Hart, Hayes, Murphy, 2022 Lakers FRP, 2023 Pelicans FRP for C.J. McCollum, Per NBA Source. Blazers want more assets but didn’t specify who.

if this were offered and a GM didn’t accept immediately it would be grounds for firing

I wonder if Scoop B and Landon Buford hang out on weekends or what.

Scoop at least gets some small crumbs to pass on here or there.

Buford knows nothing

Anything close to that return and CJ is already a pel.

So there's no way its true

Rubio went to the Pacers in the LeVert trade. He can only be trade again by himself and cannot be aggregated which I said it's effectively two trades. It would technically be Rubio for Nurkic and a pick or something like that
