There it is.

So he's locked in for at least next season if he's traded.

I was thinking that it was somehow voidable by him or us each year which would make using him in a trade as anything more than a salary match pretty difficult.

But as it is anyone who trades for him has him for at least next season. That's better.

I get why Portland would do a McCollum for Randle trade, but i don't get why the Knicks would do that.

and something that hasn't been mentioned much here, but Charlotte wants to move PJ Washington, and we've needed a legit stretch 4 for 3 years now. just do a simple NAW with some seconds for PJ swap.

I mean they are under the tax threshold they were targeting at this point from the Powell deal.

Simons is going to get 20+ million in RFA, and maybe 25+. They either move Simons or McCollum, or they're paying 100 million for their backcourt with no way of improving the frontcourt while they are working on a 50 million dollar a year extension for Lillard. And Simons should be almost untouchable.

Randle makes sense for Portland. But I can't see it for New York.

Randle's value is in the tanks right now, Knicks may have to attach a couple 1st to him for Portland to think about it.

He's not playing well at all, and is getting into it with the coaching staff. LINK

Tom Thibodeau didn’t want the Knicks to trade for Cam Reddish, per @NYPost_Berman

Reddish has 4 DNPs and is averaging 6.9 MPG in New York LINK

And this is the team everyone in the media says Zion needs to be on!!!???

I mean he was bucking up to punch his coach yesterday, so might be the Knicks just want to move on and punt on the season?

Thats the only angle I see where they do a Randle/CJ + pieces swap.

But both teams could make the case they tried to improve the team if Randle truly has gone toxic.

Remember all those tweets from Blue Checks freaking out about the Knicks getting Reddish and claiming it was a key step to them getting Zion?

Good times.

I wouldn't trade Randle. If I can get him back to 80% of what he was last year, that is an awesome 2nd or 3rd option type guy. He is going to be expensive. But not franchise killing. They need Barret to keep growing and to become that number two. Then they can make their move this summer for a number 1, like Harden, Beal or Lillard. That's the formula.

Is Thibs in danger? Players don't like him and he wears out his time quick. Rose is a players GM. Does he pick players over the coach?

Sorry. I meant I don't see McCollum for New York. Barrett is their best player. And even if they move Fournier, they just traded for Reddish.

Randle is toxic. Portland and Sacramento are the only 2 teams that I think he improves in a trade, but that's due more to their rosters than Randle.

McCollum makes sense only if you just want to get rid of Randle and have a contingency plan lined up.

He is undoubtedly an upgrade at guard, but IDK, a lot of weirdness around this rumor that doesnt make a ton of sense

Full trade: Indiana sends Caris LeVert and a 2022 second-round pick via Miami to Cleveland for Ricky Rubio, lottery-protected 2022 first-round pick, 2022 second-round pick via Houston and a 2027 second-round pick via Utah, per sources.

Way less than the 2 1sts they wanted

That Houston 2nd round pick will be very valuable and probably is a top 4 2nd rounder.

Say we trade for Fox, send Sacramento Hart and Graham, that brings in Fox and still leaves minutes for Jose.

We then can still flip picks for Huerter, and have Sato and Temple salaries to bring in another shooter (Fournier works with their salary).

This makes the most sense to get better without ruining our roster. Fox on this roster makes us a serious problem, not just this season, but next season as well.

Yeah, i dont see Graham as untouchable as he was to start the year with the emergence of Jose.

Theres alot more flexibility with the addition of Graham to deals
What about the picks we would have to add to that Kings trade though? Would that still leave enough to trade for Huerter?
