Buddy to the Pels has always been one of those deals that seems like the path of least resistance for both teams with where they want to go.
I’m pretty much hoping for this to happen now. His bad contract kinda offsets Graham’s good one.

I would like Danny green. Fits a need and he can still play.
No he can't. He's been pretty shitty the last 2 years, especially in the playoffs I'd rather Trey Murphy get whatever minutes Danny Green might get if he was on this team.
the dude is a career 9ppg player. Sure lets throw the plays older than his actual old age player $10M/yr.

The deal is not yet complete, though, because the Wizards do not have the cap space to sign Dinwiddie outright. They must come to a sign-and-trade agreement with Brooklyn, and that strategy comes with complications.
The Nets are far above the luxury tax entering next season thanks to their three superstars: Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden. Throw in big contracts for Joe Harris and DeAndre Jordan that are also on the books and the Nets might wind up being the most expensive team in basketball next season. A Dinwiddie sign-and-trade, without a third team, might assure that. The Nets would have to take back 80 percent of Dinwiddie's outgoing salary to make a trade legal, and that would push their tax bill up to historic heights. In all likelihood, the Nets would have to reroute salary elsewhere to make such a move feasible.

Sounds complicated. Probably easier for WAS to just send us Beal and start over.

He just finished shooting 40% from 3 on high volume. He’s a low volume player who can play defense and shoot. This is a bad take.

He hasn’t been good in the playoffs but we have to get there first.

This shite is so confusing. No matter what, even if a 3rd team comes in, the Nets ultimate have to take back salary up to 80%, right?
I guess I don't understand how bringing in a 3rd team helps the Nets here. Unless they're getting back something good, why would they entertain a S&T?

If it involves OKC, watch Deandre Jordan end up there with a pick to get OKC to take him.

No, I think WAS just needs to send out 80% so Dinwiddie fits for them.
If there wasn’t at least a 3rd team the Nets would have to take that all back. But if a 3rd or more team is added then they can take the salary instead of the Nets.

Hearing the most likely outcome is that the Spencer Dinwiddie sign-and-trade becomes part of the Russell Westbrook trade,

“That would make it, at minimum, a four-team deal (Nets, Lakers, Wizards, Pacers)."

No, I think WAS just needs to send out 80% so Dinwiddie fits for them.
So WAS gets Dinwiddie, sends out the 80% or part of it to another team, but sends other shite to BKN.
That and maybe 4-5 more teams involved lol.

This is the best thing about this board. I don't don't shite about how salaries have to fit in the NBA or what pick is from which deal and all that. It's nice to have people that get it and explain it so well.

Hope he's correct.
I'm not even going to begin to speculate as to how with 6-8 teams involved.

I wonder if we're taking back Bertans and getting a pick for our troubles.
Posted on 8/4/21 at 3:14 pm to Fun Bunch
Prolly just taking on a shite stain player or something.

I could see that happening. He totally fits.
Horrid contract though.

The Athletic does say the Pacers may be involved. If we end up with Pels talk legend Myles Turner somehow this place is gonna go from six to midnight

Or Brogdon, for that matter. Neither will happen, but we can dream
