Lets talk about Willie putting Dyson on JJJ; pulling JV in OT; ATO play was Zion v 3 grizzly players. The overall coaching on this team is worse than Gentry and SVG. It’s probably the worse ive seen in a long time. Even Monty was better than this.

It's pretty fixable. They have this crazy fricking rule in the league where you can stop the possession if you have the ball to draw up a play. I think it's called a timeout.

He's our Mark Jackson

Thats an insult to Mark Jackson.

know Z got the charge in OT and it was a bad play, but it's still mind boggling that we don't try to run plays in late game situations to get Z free and moving downhill. There will never be a time where a BI iso is a better play than a Zion drive, even if it does wind up working occasionally
Same for Luka, Lebron, Jokic and so on and so forth....
Zion should touch the ball and facilitate every single late game possession.
And if the plan is for BI to do so, which it clearly is, Zion should legit be on the bench. He's a net negative player without the ball in his hands(counting defense) so why leave him on the court if you won't make the obvious decision to let the game go through him

Willie rather lose the game and make these things learning moments. I’m not even joking. He’ll keep losing because he thinks its better for the players to figure it out.

I'm pretty sure Geeen's goal is to allow BI to play his preferred style. If you give Zion the ball, that can't happen.
Willie will never establish an hierarchy. He's going down with the 1a and 1b bullshite.

And that's not going to work.

SVG made Zion the first option and got fired for it. BI as first option will get us nowhere.

I refuse to blame the players. If you watched a Milwaukee Bucks game and they pulled Giannis with 10 point lead with almost 7min left in the third and didn’t put him back in until they were losing by 3 with 30 seconds left in the third then pulled him again with a 3 point lead at the 7:20 mark of the fourth. Then, he comes back in at the 4 min mark of the fourth but only as a spacer in the corner and Dame is forced to post up at the 15ft mark with 6 sec on the shot clock. You would blame Giannis and Dame??? There wasn’t one single play call to get Zion and BI together in an action. Coaching malpractice.
We have no idea what Zion and BI are capable of together because we have a coach who doesn’t even put them in a position to work together.

Is it because Zion isn’t capable of playing as many minutes as we need from him
Posted on 12/26/23 at 10:39 pm to Pels_Yaz
problem is zion is a bumbling fool with ball late in the game, a straight turnover machine.
And bi just wants to take contested low percentage shots.
And anyone else who gets to touch it are so shocked they completely miss the goal.

Because they are both asked to just play one on one.

They can’t be on the floor together bc the offensive scheme doesn’t work
It’s maddening
Zion elbow 1 v 1 or BI iso or pick n roll with someone else

he's way too turnover prone for us to do that...

Thats partly because they’re crowding the paint because of no shooters on the floor

I think a lot of this is because refs start swallowing their whistle on increased contact he gets at the end of games.
The bad thing is we also see the bull shite gifts refs give our opponents as observed in the last 1.5 seconds of this game.
