Jazz Fest posted that Willie Nelson (& Family) had to cancel set due to a COVID illness in the group. It didn't say that Willie had COVID.

I wonder who they will get to fill in? I had planned on setting up shop at the Gentilly Stage on Sunday.

Kind of close to find a replacement at this point. Was shocked Robert Earl Keen wasn't on the lineup one last time, honestly.

Willie is a cucked lib in his old age. Of course he would still be canceling because of Covid

Dude is 89 and still performing. I have a lot of respect for that.

Shut the frick up. Dude is 89 and still works the road harder than a lot of acts half his age, in spite of all the health issues that come with age and lifestyle. Guarantee no one will be talking about your politics or work ethic when you’re his age - or at any other point in time.

Doesn’t matter…the black crowes absolutely destroyed the festival stage today

My favorite memory of JazzFest was many years ago when they opened with "Don't Do It," then brought out Allen Toussaint and played a song with him. Chris said "Welcome to the Sunday service," followed by something to the effect of, "any day you get to see Allen Toussaint is a good day." I agreed. It was a good day. Saw Wilco later that day as a follow up.

I heard the Crowes were magic today. Saw the great great set list. Super bummed I missed my favorite band on such a nice day

2005…those two bands back to back on the Gentilly Stage, $25 admission

Jazz Fest is still fun, but it isn’t quite as nice as it used to be…

I saw the Crowes on the Gentilly stage a few years back but my favorite day was when Lucinda williams, Wilco, and galactic all played the same day if my memory serves me
