Modern country sucks donkey balls. We have classic rock stations but no classic country stations. Why? This is keeping me up at night.

Over the air, they are hard to find. Online you can find some and I'm sure that Sirius/XM has at least one.

Here in BR, 100.7 has a show on Sunday nights that Jim Hawthorne hosts. Man, I love listening to that show.

Based on the road trips I’ve taken, there are a lot more classic country stations then there are alternative rock stations these days.

We have one here in St. Louis (1190-AM) and they play the secondary hits too. Stuff I've never heard so it's fresh.

We've got some good ones in Georgia. They do play the modern stuff but they mix in some classic stuff (Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, etc.)

They have Willie's roadhouse. Also have Prime country that plays 80's/90's, so depending on how far back you go for classic that has some. There's some other stations they have that play classic county at times, but not solely that.

I’ve been listening to Willies Roadhouse on XM. It is classic country. There are also classic stations around. I listen to one in a nearby town in south Ga where I live. The station with all the farm reports and local tips on gardening and such.

I live near Destin and drive a lot for work. 96.9 the legend is pretty good if you're ever this way.

When I listen to those type stations I find myself thinking about the Slippery slope country music went down. It really hasn’t been completely pure in most any of our lifetimes. Even a lot of the “classic” stuff really was pop with a southerner singing it - Conway & TG and the list could go on.

Only one click of the knob and I do find myself going back and forth between the two, depending on what mood I’m in and what’s playing. But I never never go past the Outlaw cause your bound to hit the likes of Country Girl Shake It For Me.

the Swap Shop.

If you ever want to troll someone, call the swap shop and put a good item with a good price and leave your buddy's phone number. They'll be blowing him up for two days nonstop.
