Toby Keith. He just does not seem to hit the notes as clear and crisp as somebody like Blake Shelton or Joe Nichols.

I think most of the bands I've listen to over the years, their lead singers have not had conventional good voices...

Mac Maccaughan from Superchunk is the best example... It has gotten a lot stronger and better over the past twenty years, but in the early days he had no control over it...

Jeff Tweedy. One of my absolute favorite songwriters but a very mediocre singing voice.
