Tubb is legitimately one of the top 10 country singers of all time and legitimately sucks at singing, lol. To his defense a tonsillectomy changed his vocal chord. It changed a good singing voice into what you hear on records.

Stephen Malkmus- Pavement
Bob Dylan
Billy Bragg
Jeffrey Lee Pierce-Gun Club
Thurston Moore-Sonic Youth
Doug Martsch- Built to Spill
Neil Young
.....Most bands/ singers I like are not technically good singers. But they have a unique voice and phrasing that lifts their songs above more gifted singers.

Bob can't sing for shite, his voice is grating, and he basically has the opposite of Jerry's and yet I love his voice too: LINK.

Jimi Hendrix wasn't a great singer, but love to listen to him...he wasn't too bad on the guitar.

It's hard for me to pick guys out because i tend to like "bad" singing voices better than "good" ones.
I like that rough, lifetime of straight whiskey and cigarettes, voice.
