At least two members of Ricky Nelson's band were from LA
Guitarist James Burton -- "The Master Of The Telecaster"; plays the epochal rockabilly solo on "Hello Mary Lou" -- is from Shreveport and last I heard now lives there
Bassist Joe Osborn -- from Mound LA, wherever that is. So good he later became a member of the Wrecking Crew. Roy Halee (engineer/producer for Simon and Garfunkel): "You never have to stop the tape because of a mistake by Joe Osborn. There just aren't any."
