Springsteen in 1975 in NOLA . I know that this board hates him, but it was the greatest Rock n' Roll show in the world at that time. Energy through the roof.
Also, Jethro Tull in 1975 at Municipal Auditorium.

Alice Cooper about 10 years ago or so. He had Orianthi with him on guitar. Every number had a visual element, the best being the guillotine act and coming out as Uncle Sam for the song "Elected".

Crazy to think how active and sharp he is as one of the few Hollywood Vampires left.

These 3 Lollapaloozas I went to were some of the best shows ever.

KISS - Reunion Tour Superdome 1996

Never thought I'd get to witness that again.

Oasis this past summer in Manchester. Didn’t think it would ever happen and it was like a championship sporting event to that city.

Ozzy - Diary of a Madman - San Antonio - 1982. Back when parents would drop kids off downtown to go to a concert.

The infamous “peeing on the Alamo” incident. I had waited months for the concert and was panicked that it would be canceled with his arrest.

One of the last concerts before Randy’s death. Concert opened with him sitting on the steps of the stage playing the intro to Diary.

Woodstock. It's technically not a concert but a 3 day music festival.

So you were at Woodstock and at the festival in "Festival Express" discussed a few days ago? You used to get around

The Ramones - 1981 Houston - Agora Ballroom
Springsteen - finally saw him and it lived up to the hype.
The Black Crowes - Houston Huse of Blues - went there not really expecting much and was blown away.
Wilco - 2013 ACL. This might be the perfect concert. Just an amazing performance and the setting as the sun went down was great

The Who in Biloxi.

When?

I saw them on a tour in the late 90s/early 2000s with Ringo's son as the drummer. But they put on a fantastic show.

Other than that, the best concert was a weekend show in south central Houston. $10 got you a plate of bbq and one beer, and three bands. Bar was painted blood red all over, top to bottom, and while we were there a guy who looked exactly like John Lee Hooker sat at a table near the bar, dressed a yellow suit, wearing sunglasses, all night long. First band was a sometimes homeless guy who had been a guitar player growing up but had succumbed to drugs. He was solo. Did some decent tunes by himself. Then a three piece band of a drummer, washtub bass player (with kazoo) and a guitarist. Played some bluesy, Cajun things and then put out the best version of "Green River" anyone will ever hear, with the bass player adding in the kazoo throughout. Then the El Orbits came on and played all of their notable covers, including a cover of "Candy Man", with the big man on piano, banging away and singing. That was a cool show.

They just announced crowd restrictions from Covid that day. Everything else went to shite over the next 18-24 months.

Amazing show and heard 7empest first and maybe last time live.

Too many great ones to narrow down...I'll go with KISS opening up with Detroit Rock City in the Pontiac Silverdom. That was special.

Many memorable shows, but I’ll have to go with the Metallica Damaged Justice show in Biloxi in August of ‘89, which I’ve already posted about here many times. Same tour that was memorialized just nine days later in Seattle for the Binge & Purge video. We had that same show and very similar crowd energy. It tops my list of all-time favorite concerts.

Apologies, but I have to give an honorable mention...
Soundgarden on the Badmotorfinger tour in a small, dark basement club in Jacksonville before they blew up. It was only six months later though that they were on the Lollapalooza tour and took off like a rocket from there.

Most memorable… Lynyrd Skynyrd headlining in 1974 (touring their Second Helping album) in Baton Rouge. Wish I had the ticket stub.
