Unfortunately, every time I hear Layla, I see all of goodfellas doing their final scenes in the movie. Great movie, but forever changed the way I hear a great song.

As long as we’re talking about Fast Times at Ridgemont High, we should also mention Kashmir which is decidedly NOT on side 2 of Led Zeppelin IV. Ratner got that wrong.

In the director’s commentary on the DVD they explain that it was Cameron Crowe’s favorable relationship with Zeppelin, and his positive coverage of them in the past, that they even got permission to use any of their music in the film. They decided it would make sense that Ratner screwed up trying to follow Damone’s advice.
