Doolin Dalton (into) Outlaw Man

is a tremendous combo.

"In one hand I've a bible, the other I've got a gun. Don't you know me, I'm the man who won? Woman don't try to love me, don't try to understand, the life upon the road is the life of a

Outlaw Man.

Totally different, but really cool song I'd play at the college radio station was

"The Greeks Don't Want No Freaks"

There was beer all over the dance floor. The band was playing rhythm and blues. You got down and did the Gator, half an hour later, you were barfin' all over your boyfriend's shoes....

I didn't care for their early music. I recognized the talent that was there but it was too country for my tastes. I did however like some of the songs on Hotel California and The Long Run was OK. But even then I wasn't a huge fan. When they played the PMAC in the late 70's I passed.

As a disciple of Gram Parsons and his ilk, I should hate them... However, they have some tunes that I kinda like and others that I'm just indifferent about... Only a couple of tunes I really hate...

There is much more classic rock that I loathe in comparison...

Amen. Side 2 of HC is what made them elite songwriters and musicians IMO.

Most folks who hate the Eagles know little about music theory, arrangements, solos or harmony. All things the band excelled at.

I really couldn't care less whether folks hate em or love em, but if you don't believe that Joe Walsh and Don Felder are both world class guitarist, you're smoking crack.

during an interview said the riff for life in the fast lane was just something he always used to "warm up". imagine being talented enough that your warm up exercise becomes a hit song.

I'll add my thoughts now. I started playing guitar at age nine in 1994, right when they got back together for Hell Freezes Over. I learned as many Eagles songs as I could as fast I could. Witchy Woman first. I'll go years without diving into their catalog, but I recently got back into them.

My current mix of songs I'm enjoying / learned on the guitar:

-One of These Nights
-Those Shoes
-King of Hollywood
-I Can't Tell You Why

(Guessing I'm leaning on The Long Run...)
