In HS (90s) I knew about 5-7 Zeppelin songs and liked all of them. My dad told me he had most of their records and had a couple of big speakers connected to an 80s style turntable at the time.
I listened to the 1st Zeppelin album and blew me away. Then Zeppelin II, then 3, then 4, then Houses of the Holy.
Realized my 5-7 songs were still awesome but no longer in my top 10 Zeppelin songs.

Guns and Roses Appetite for Destruction
Nirvana NeverMind - I just remember they day I picked this tape up and pressed play and never fast forward. It was right before the time they exploded and killed Glam Metal.
Just saw 3111 post. That reminds me 311 (311) was another

Guns N Roses was a hair band.
I disagree. Guns and Roses was a gritty rock band. For some reason they get thrown in there. They were the first nail. I know cause I saw it.

I was a little late to the Metallica party. I heard One on the radio and was blown away. They became one of my favorite bands almost overnight.

First time I heard Ruckus by Galactic my entire musical taste and life changed. M
More recently: Hogs in 2022 I caught Iceman Special and fell in love with them. I love their self titled album, but Their Zycordia album is phenomenal in my opinion.

Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run
+100. Absolutely. Right out of the box with side one, the first track and drum salvo intro, sax and wall of sound of 'Born To Run'.

For those of who remember , Springsteen's 'Born To Run',every track from the album "Blew" us all away. Every track was electric.
(Boston's debut album was a close #2)

Brain Salad Surgery - ELP. Easy answer.
Blown away on first listen doesn't always hold up, at all. Hotel California come in at the top of this list, what a bunch of pretentious drek. But it blew me away for a couple of weeks, anyway. Most of my favorite music took me a long time to fully appreciate.

The Beatles- I Want to Hold Your Hand - Yes, I'm that old and I was just one of millions. Saturday morning bowling league, we had that jukebox playing Beatles non-stop.
Dire Staights - Sultans of Swing - Asked the girl I had a date with to shush so I could listen to the song.
Hendrix - Are You Experienced
