Ride Like the Wind by Christopher Cross. There is a killer guitar solo in there that almost gets covered up by whomever mixed it.

I should clarify my post. I was thinking of your high school years when a particular song you loved was not considered as cool by your friends.
Annie's Song. John Denver

That's Christopher Cross playing the solo. Rick Beato did a video about it on his YT channel.

I'm probably supposed to be ashamed of liking artists like The Carpenters, The Bee Gees, A Flock of Seagulls, and Culture Club, but I'm not.

When you get to a certain age, you realize you like what you like and to hell with everyone else’s opinions.

Alright. I have two guilty pleasure songs, and I don't know why I like them, but I do.

1) Staying Alive by the Bee Gees
2) Dancing Queen by Abba

And, for the record, I absolutely HATE Disco music.

When I was in high school and college I didn’t listen to most radio music. So most of the music I listen to wasn’t considered “cool” by friends with poor music taste. I always had to introduce good music to my friends. Few examples would be
The Pixies- Where is my mind?
The Icicle Works- Birds Fly
Siouxsie and the Banshees- Cities in dust
And today it makes me so happy that my daughter listen to good music.
