Tool & The Melvins- August 1998 at UNO Lakefront Arena
___________________________________________________
I've been to a lot of TOOL shows but this was one of the weirdest ones I went to. Maynard was dressed up & in character as a preacher for most of the show. The Melvins set list was just awful & I had seen them before & loved them.

I was there as well. Saw him pull in in a limo with June sitting next to him.

Philadelphia, PA. 1982, WMMR radio station put on a big outdoor concert at JFK Stadium. Journey headlined... Bryan Adams opened, John Cougar Melloncamp, The Tubes, then Sammy Hagar player before Journey. My parents took me. It was cool. I saw tits, probably got a contact high, and you could bring food and drinks in... some punk rockers showed up and started a big food fight. It went off for about 20 minutes. Apples, oranges, full two liters of coke (no glass was allowed in)... flying through the air. It was rainy that day, so we just put our umbrellas up.

First I can remember was Badfinger at the Municipal Auditorium in NOLA. I was 19, a sophomore in college. My date was a stunning girl who wore a halter top, no bra, and a pair of white "hot pants" super-short shorts that were in style for girls. I remember two guys who fell to their knees in the hallway, threw their hands up in the air and began to bow down to her like the LSU student section does when the band plays "Chinese Bandits" after a third down stop.

Late 90s

It was either Dio at the HOB or Type O Negative at HOB in NOLA.

Both were awesome concerts.

I had tickets to Tool and had to work. Never saw them.
