I remember coming back from a Dead show, probably’93, and finally get home late. Everybody’s on major hallucinogens, of course, and the crew turns on Mtv and that video is on. I remember laughing so hard at it that my stomach muscles were sore the next day. I’ve subsequently always had a soft spot for it, the memory still makes me laugh.

It was huge when I was in my 2nd grade bowling league at Acadiana Lanes. I loved it then and felt like it gave me an edge over the other 8 year olds.

I like "We Built This City". "Don't Worry Be Happy" is pretty good, actually.
I know it's taboo to even think this, but I'm going to say it, and be summarily ostracized: "Rooting For The Antihero" is terrible, as are about ten more of Taylor Swift's most popular songs.

Please don't set me off-- Solid by Ashford & Simpson is one of my all-time favorite songs! Top Ten pop in 1985; #1 R&B.
Ashford & Simpson were an extremely successful songwriting and performing duo from the early 1960's to the mid-1980's. They were from Los Angeles. Most of their material became big hits by other artists, including Diana Ross and The Supremes, The Fifth Dimension, and Johnny Mathis &; Deneice Williams.

The song was very popular in 1984-85. It's not a terrible song, but that video is stupid and disgusting
