Haven't heard a stadium tour in a long time.

Bono still have the pipes? Legit question.

Will be insane to hear him try and sing red hill mining town in a stadium

His voice was better than ever in the mid 2000s after he quit smoking - he's been lazy on the song selection last 2 tours though

So are they just reprising the set lists from the old Joshua Tree tour in 86-87?

Kind of want but a) there aren't any shows close by and 2) I just feel like I'm done with stadium shows in general.

Will be seeing them in Houston for sure. Favorite band of all time and it'll be my first time seeing them live.

Irish rockers U2 will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their groundbreaking The Joshua Tree album with a series of stadium shows. The band will perform their classic fifth album in its entirety at each stop with Mumford & Sons, OneRepublic and The Lumineers aboard as support on select dates in North America. U2 also revealed they will headline Bonnaroo, their first-ever U.S. festival headlining appearance.

Man that's some spare opening acts. Why not go 'no opening act'?

U2 has always had a huge undercard. They do a great job bridging their demographic with the younger crowd. I remember when Rage Against the Machine opened for them on their Pop tour. Nuts.

I saw that tour. Did not care for RATM. Good point on the acts though

I've seen both Muse and Ziggy Marley open for U2.
