Alright boys, I've been working on my lil Spotify playlists. It's a hobby of mine. I like my lists. I'm currently on hip hop. It's been a while since I've really looked for some opinions on here, but I'd love to see what some of the heads have to think on the topic

I'm talking full album, I know with rap it is going to have skits and some weak tracks, the nature of the beast. But the most consistent, least track skipped, most listened to albums of yours

But idk, try and give me some thoughts on maybe your top 3-5 of hip hop albums and maybe a little reason for too. Maybe we can come to something of a consensus, or at least we can find some new cool music to listen to

UGK - Ridin' Dirty
Gravediggaz - 6 Feet Deep
Kendrick - Good Kid m.A.A.D City

Chino XL - Here to Save You All (a dark, gothic, scathing masterpiece sparing no one)

Nas - I Am... (You already have Illmatic listed, but for my money I Am... wins the banger-track ratio)

The Roots - Do You Want More (jazzy, trip-hoppish beats)

LL Cool J - All World: Greatest Hits (is this cheating?)

Beastie Boys - Licensed to Ill (certified classic)

De la Soul - 3 Feet High and Rising (if a hip hop group were a black frat house party band, it'd be De la Soul)

Souls of Mischief - 93 Til Infinity (a little off the beaten path)

Mobb Deep - Murda Muzik (East Coast flava)

Ol' Dirty Bastard - N* Please (since Wu-Tang has kind of an uneven history, I chose one member in particular)

Cam'ron - Confessions of Fire (P. Diddy protege that would make the list just for "357" if the rest of the album weren't already solid)

Yeah I mean it's the best hip hop album, imo. I mean a 10 track hip hop album, every track 4 minutes-ish. And there's like not one skippable moment. Can't name another rap album that does anything like that.

It was too hard for me to pick between that, Paul's Boutique, and Ill Communication for my 10, so I put none.

Great album

Oh I'd also like to nominate Black Sunday by Cypress Hill as another ALMOST no skips at all album for me too. And the skips are an interlude and skit, so....

My all timer is Illmatic. But my favorite under the radar album is Watermelon, Chicken, & Gritz by Nappy Roots. I have many many more, but this is on my mind as of right now

Top 5. I'm a 90's rap homer. I don't think the g-funk era will ever be topped.

Awesome album . It almost made my list

I think it’s significantly better than any of the Run the Jewels albums
