Not a bad band. They’re fun if you don’t have much to do. Granted I have not seen them live since 2008. Things may not be fun anymore.

Was my favorite band when I was 8. Thankfully I've gotten better taste since then.

From the Dash Rip Rock song Johny Ace ("a rock and roll Jesus with a Cowboy Mouth"). Fred LeBlanc was in Dash Rip Rock before Cowboy Mouth.

Which they got from the Sam Shepard play called Cowboy Mouth.

I'm a fan and have been for a long time. The quality of songs went drastically down hill when Paul Sanchez left the band after Katrina. However, I saw them live last year and it was easily the best show I've seen them play in 15 years. I know that Fred can be really annoying but sometimes it's fun to just turn your mind off for a couple of hours and play his version of Simon Says.

They are, but I have to give credit where it's due. They have fun live, so even their bad music is entertaining for their shows. I only know this due to Jazz fest one year and a charity even years back.

Hey, I'll enjoy even the worst bands live if they put on an entertaining set

Just gotta agree to disagree there. The one time I had to hear them live, I don't think I could have liked it any less.

There was a Paul Sanchez solo record from the late 80s/early 90s that I liked. "Jet black and jealous" maybe? But yeah, they were fun to get drunk to when I was in high school and then, not so much.

He was on a Diners Drive-ins and Dive episode that was featuring some New Orleans restaurant and I couldn't help but thinking that Nola has so much more to offer that him.
