The album that segued punk and post punk into new wave.
Possibly the weirdest amalgamation of sounds ever put together. Ricky Wilson’s three string Mosrite, Kate on organs, Fred’s talk-singing. Blending surf music, girl group melodies, and dance music. A total trip, but it works wonderfully and still sounds futuristic.

I played the crap out of that one on WLSU/WPRG when it came out.

That's for reminding me. I will email Keith Strickland and congratulate him.

Cindy’s voice is so powerful and I always loved Ricky’s sound. So unique and refreshing.

I've posted this video before but it has some great photos of the early history of The
B-52's. At the very beginning it mentions that Ricky Wilson met Keith Strickland in Athens, Georgia at the head shop my brother and I owned called, "The Looking Glass".
