So out of curiosity, if you were to throw away any album you own made by lefties, how many albums would you be left with?
Well... we've got Ted Nugent.
Did Kirk Cameron release an album in the 80s? A lot of actors tried crossover musical careers.
Pretty sweet discography.

I'm a fan and was thinking about seeing him in the Fall in BR. But If I know ahead of time I'm going to be subjected to the whole boorish captive audience political garbage, I'll skip it. I only have so much money to spend on entertainment and I'd rather skip things that annoy me . Doesn't matter if it's Trump jingoism or BLM Race Grievance. I just want to hear some tunes, not be indoctrinated by ill- informed, ego- driven entertainers. I want an escape from politics into the beauty of art not a forced immersion into political anger.

You should stop watching Fox News btw.
I don't watch FN...ever.
I just really detest people bringing extreme political beliefs (either side) into anything that is (should be) considered entertainment...sports included.

Being a successful touring musician takes some of the hardest work I've ever seen. Almost every one of them starts in a shitty vehicle sleeping in filthy dumps for years, playing for no one. You would quit the first week even if you had talent.

This really shouldn't surprise you, but do you need to agree with bands and musicians just to like their music? Do you refuse to speak to co-workers or neighbors if they voted differently from you? That seems crazy to me. Someone's politics is an aspect of who he/she is. It's not the complete story. Get some perspective.

a sign threatened you this much? Just ignore it. It's not like Isbell stands up there and spews his political beliefs on stage.

Ryan Adams blocked me on IG because I called him out for whining about Trump. He's a bitch anyway. But i like his music.

Isbell's political beliefs aren't close to extreme.
At least the opinions I've seen him share, mostly on Twitter.

Just burned all of my Isbell merchandise and records. If you don't back the badge, I ain't gonna back you!

I've seen him several times and he's never made a political statement on stage.

I'm sure he's very hurt. But at least you can brag about it on a message board, so there's that.

Gonna let everybody here in on a little secret. Anything you've ever heard (music) or seen with your eyes (film/art) that has given you immense joy, was probably created by a liberal. I'm gonna say it's about 90%.
Also, take into account the age of the artist at the time. They probably leaned more center or left. Looking at Bocephus and Nugent and Eastwood.

Most of this board can at best play simple man and sweet home on their dusty acoustic fender. You don't even have to be 'successful' more than having a gig every night or couple nights. Saying they don't work for a living is some seriously ignorant shite.
