Jiving post-grunge, alt rock song.

I always wondered what a band would look like with Glenn Frey and Tom Scholz.

They re-released Churn last year, with a bunch of unreleased demos.

Water's Edge followed by Cumbersome are a pretty good 1 - 2 punch from their American Standard album.

They played that song into oblivion. Went from cool to hated and they still kept playing it.
It’s like Stairway to Heaven but it’s a far inferior song to Stairway of course.

If I never hear that intro again it’ll be too soon. Maybe the most over played song in the history of New Orleans rock radio. Thank you Rod Ryan.

American Standard is a really good album. Cumbersome is probably one of my least favorites on there

Birmingham area. We’ll be at Graybar on 280 Saturday of Labor Day weekend. We were at Charlie’s in Lincoln last night (formerly Dee Fords).

Man I've driven by dee fords on i-20 probably a few hundred times in my life and always wonder what it's like in there. I visualize something out of a movie where it's extremely dark, smoke filled, and you'd get your arse stomped out by bikers for looking at someone wrong or having a polo shirt on.

i’m in Pensacola - we’re playing a gay bar this Wednesday night, promises to be interesting, to say the least

It is a honky tonk but fairly tame for a honky tonk. Just a lot of good old southern folks in there. Now, there was a place called the Hydeaway in Clanton, AL that was like that. Wish that place was still around. It was fun. I tell people it was like Roadhouse. We had biker gangs show up, people dancing on the bar, there was a huge bronze colored metal bull over the drumkit. It would get really crazy around midnight.
The all-timer was a short lived place just out side of Pell City, AL. It was called Even-n-Odds. Right after the pandemic when the tide pod thing happened, we played a Saturday night there and it was tide pod shot night. They had these insane looking shots that were orange, blue, and white like a tide pod. Who knows what was in them, but the place was surreal all night. Myself and my drummer were the only people that didn't get tide pod shots. I had about 6 shots of vodka and about 5 beers and I was by far the most sober person in the establishment. It was really beyond surreal. I'm surprised everyone lived through it.

are "outsiders" welcome? We dont' live close to it but my wife and I may want to pop in one day as we're traveling just to see what it's about.

Yes. I'd check the hours. I know they are open early for lunch some days but I'm not sure.
