Who’s writing that history? Because I couldn’t tell you who Roger Waters was and I bump Drake and The Weeknd everyday

entertainers thinking they are "important" is a symptom of the rot in our society.

Drake and The Weekend

I love formulaic music written by what is tantamount to advertising committees.

This says so much about your level of intelligence, and it isn't good.

Pull your God damned pants up, punk.

And you would be wrong. You have every right to not like the brand of music. But Hip Hop is apart of music history, and the same goes for pop.

He certainly sounds like a narcissistic prick. Hey Roger, without David Gilmour you ain’t shite

Yeah, Waters came up with some cool musical concepts and did write some great lyrics, but it's Gilmour's singing and beautiful guitar work on huge hits like "Wish You Were Here" and "Comfortably Numb" that made those songs have staying power.

The Weekend ( ?) are a couple of no talent hacks using auto tune to recite bad poetry to shitty electronic music.

You do realize the Weeknd is a singer, right. And singing is definitely a talent.

Yeah, can't stand the prick but he's dead on.

He wrote some of the most meaningful music of the 20th century and PF was one of the most influential bands of all time.

Found the guy who doesn't understand auto tune and "singing".

quote:

Auto-Tune uses a proprietary device to measure and alter pitch in vocal and instrumental music recording and performances. Auto-Tune was originally intended to disguise or correct off-key inaccuracies, allowing vocal tracks to be perfectly tuned despite originally being slightly off-pitch

As "important" as Waters thinks he is, I think it's petty to shite on other artists. I don't have to like another musician to acknowledge that other people do. It's okay that there are different genres, and appeal will wax and wane.

Whether he's right or not is less of an issue than he's being a prick.

I know exactly who and what he is.

You can't miss him this fricked up "we need to worship this culture" bullshite that is going on in America.

Without Google I'll bet your ghetto arse can't tell me who are what Satchmo did.

I favor Neil Pearts approach to stardom over Waters. Celebrity should not be celebrated, its embarrassing.
