Only saw him twice: PJ20 at Alpine Valley and opening for Eddie on his solo acoustic/uke tour in Jax.
Phenomenal songwriter. A damned shame he's gone.
Was also a very good actor.

That’s a kick in the gut.
Was he sick?
Sucks. He’s Van Morrison if Van were a nice guy. Van is better but Glen was cool about everything.

Great version of my favorite Dylan song:

Motorcycle wreck is what I read.

This is why I'll never be a motorcycle rider. It's just not worth the risk. So sad.
I saw him in 2009 or 2010 at the Paramount in Austin, opening for Iron and Wine. He was very good from what I remember.

LOL, no. Never heard of the guy until today but listening to some of his songs proves he is nowhere near the singer or songwriter that Van Morrison is. Quite frankly, his music is a little boring and comparing it to Astral Weeks and/or Moondance is quite a stretch. Sorry he died and must have moved a lot of people but not really me.

I saw Commitments when I was much younger, even remember renting it at the video store as a kid…I surely didn’t fully appreciate Glen but his performance at Shane MacGowan’s funeral deserves a mention
Rest easy…

Everything in life has risk. If you dare to become a motorcycle rider, please become an excellent rider. Glen was a poor rider who died in a single vehicle accident. After watching a few videos, he is very much a temu-Van Morrison. RIP

The Once soundtrack is a classic.

No! One of the low key greats- what a songwriter.
RIP.

Being an excellent rider does not mitigate the biggest risk that you have no control over - other shitty drivers on the rode in much bigger vehicles where one small mistake will end your life.

All these years later, I never realized he was in that movie... Granted, it was many years between seeing the movie and him re-introducing himself to the world with Once and their song on the soundtrack for the Dylan movie..
I'll be damned...
RIP
