Incredible song. Love the few chances we have left to hear real meaningful in the moment lyrics before it’s all engineered noise. Bless. And of course no mainstream label will come close.

Just more boring, pandering non-sense.

Saw clips of this song on TikTok the other night and thought it was excellent. Glad to see there's a full version.

The absolute truth in the song is so simple, but won't ever let it become mainstream.

this is exactly who childers is. Your judging tyler for one song because it was against your personal believes. Isbell was never the working man's songwriter. Southeastern is one of the best albums of all time.

This dude is fake

Some marketing firm paid for a bunch of Chinese clicks on his YouTube video just like they did for Zack Bryan

And he’s already checking the cringe groomericana bingo boxes talking about his kids and sobriety

I give it a month before he’s tweeting about his “trans homies” and has videos with dudes making out

I think you’re right. He literally came out of nowhere yesterday. I’ve seen this video shared on every social platform by friends. Was sent a text to check it out too. Anything written about him was from yesterday. His marketing agent did a fabulous job.

Honestly it doesn’t sound like anything groundbreaking. Same vein as Childers and Bryan.

There’s also a verse where he mumbles and I’m not sure what he’s saying

They are nothing more than eunuch minstrels pandering to self-hating soy cucks who enjoy singers with weak voices.

The hammer on on the D is with the pinky on the G string, 4th fret (relative to the capo). Which is also exactly how both Isbell’s Cover Me Up and Childer’s Feathered Indians start. Same chord, same hammer on.

Probably just a coincidence. But if it was a thought out and planned frick you to those guys, I like this new guy even more.

If ever there were a song that accurately portrayed my thoughts on the USA in 2023, this is it.
