Heading there for two concerts this weekend.
Any tips from those who have been there?

how fit are you?
its a hike (uphill) from the lower lots and once inside, up to the top. so you have a couple options:
-get there really early, park in the north lots
-get there whenever, park in the south lots, and trudge uphill
however, if you do park in the south lots, you can grab a cab up to the top. they will be parked across the street from the trading post. if you do this, your walk back to the south lot will be downhill, and its much easier to get out from there
otherwise, it's a lifetime highlight to see a show there. if its a GA show, get there "kinda" early to grab a good spot

Tedeschi Trucks Saturday. Jason Isbell and Lucinda Williams Sunday.
I think this is Lucinda's first performance after her health issues.

Give the first one a while to kick in before going for the second.
ETA - a blanket is good but you'll be sitting on bleachers

This. Get there early and tailgate, even leaving is easier from the upper north lot.
Bring a backpack with a rain jacket and layers of clothing.
Go inside the venue early and walk around, check out the museum. Really cool pictures and posters down there. Also a great place to get out of the rain/heat if weather is an issue.

Start hydrating the day before

Definitely bring clothing for all weather possibilities. It’s very unpredictable up there and can go from 70 and sunny to torrential downpour to puffer jacket weather over the course of a show.
You can bring food in plastic bags and water but it’s pretty easy to keister beers in your backpack, if you’re so inclined.
Try to be around halfway up in the middle. You’ll get good sound and you’ll still get the view.
Derek ripping it up in there is going to be awesome, hell of a first one!

Hydrate, and if you drink alcohol keep the altitude in mind. Those beers/cocktails can hit you harder at altitude.

If you decide to use Uber/Lyft, it can be pretty expensive. Getting out there isn't too bad (probably $30ish from downtown Denver) but surge prices leaving can easily top $100.

Thank you all for the tips. Flying out in the morning!

You can always do more...but you can't do less.
