I don’t know a lot about this band. I know they have been around for a while and when I checked them out 10 or so years ago, they sounded a little like Zeppelin.

These guys remind me of Kings of Leon
Got massively big and then people started realizing they’re not that good and they fell off the map. Leon had some internal issues I know, but I go back and listen to all that music and think it’s pretty bad

The first 2 albums from KOL were pretty damn good.

Apparently sounding similar to one of the best bands ever is a negative, somehow.

If they were entering a "how original do you sound" contest then sure they should finish last.
Music is about enjoying the sounds and notes that you hear though, right? I can't tell you how many people outwardly hate on GVF for essentially no other reason than that they sound like zeppelin. But hell, zeppelin kicks arse so sounding a lot like them is actually kind of a positive IMO

I like GVF much more than all but a few Zeppelin tracks. I really don’t see the comparison. Long live GVF

It’s the gap between critiquing musicians critically vs having fun with music
That said, I’m not sure I like this video in either front.
I did see them in an early club tour and had a fun night but didn’t race to put on their albums. Was shocked to see them doing arenas

When they first came around they had their niche Led Zep sound, but that only goes so far and gets tiresome..

Interesting. I don’t know enough about them to have a significant opinion. But I do like that one song.
