I’ve made a Spotify playlist and uncovered a couple of gems Surrender by Trixter and days gone by by Slaughter
I had forgot these songs existed

Does anyone have any suggestions for some forgotten power ballads to add to my list

While we’re at it what is the greatest power ballad of all time

Scorpions' Wind of Change is the greatest power ballad of all time because it tore back the Iron Curtain and helped end the Soviet Union.

ETA: Why the downvotes you historically ignorant commie hillbillies? The song was inspired by the Moscow Music Peace Festival and became the anthem for tearing down the Berlin Wall and the end of the Cold War.

Skid Row - Wasted Time; In a Darkened Room
Bad Company - Something About You

Best ever is Sweet Child O Mine imo

Still Loving You by the Scorpions. Lyrics count as a ballad but it's still heavy and has some great guitar work

The quintessential '80s power ballad is Mötley Crüe's Home Sweet Home.

Poison - Every Rose Has It's Thorn; I Won't Forget You
Cinderella - Don't Know What Ya Got ('Til It's Gone)
Aerosmith - Angel; What It Takes
Bon Jovi - Never Say Goodbye
Tesla - Love Song
Warrant - Heaven

Greatest is either Don't Know What Ya Got or Every Rose

"Is This Love" by Whitesnake... that song has one of my favorite solos of that era. "I Remember You" by Skid Row was from late in that era as well.

The thing about this song for me is that I don't really like the intro or chorus but it has one of my favorite verses ever

Skid Row "I Remember You" in my opinion is one of the best vocal performances of the Hair Band ballads.

My favorite is the already mentioned "Ballad of Jayne" by L.A. Guns.

Tesla had a pretty good one with "Love Song".
