I presume that's a podcast about how the CIA supposedly wrote the song to hasten the collapse of the Soviet Bloc. Cool story, but completely untrue.

There's Ares' Lament from Loudness. Personally I like the Japanese version better.

I heard one the other day I'm not sure I had ever heard before:

And it was on the Great Radio Controversy no less!

Reminds me in structure a little bit of Metallica's The Day That Never Comes, in that it just ends on 2 minutes of straight metal.

Absolutely. John Sykes was so good. I know CC DeVille gets shite on a lot in the guitar community, but he had some pretty great solos, as well. The one in Something to believe in is especially good.
