I have a weird relationship with bands. The Eagles are one that I don't really like sitting around listening to them, but when I'm playing in my band, I love playing some Eagles songs. The same with a bunch of country songs. Don't listen to country songs at all, but there are a fair amount I enjoy playing.
Then there are bands I like to listen to but don't enjoy playing. Some Rush music is just a chore to play, but there are some I enjoy playing. I love The Police, but don't particularly like playing those songs.

My Dad was a touring drummer in Nashville for over 20 years. He used to tell me….I’m not a musician, I’m a drummer.
Musicianship involves many things, but an intricate understanding of harmony both vocal and instrumentally is at the top of the list.
