before the music board came about, there were about 4-5 people(not you) that would talk about edm randomly. you would come in there beating your chest talking about how you just listened to the new trance album of the year and blah blah blah.

you would come in and argue about the little technical terms. its when the few knowledgeable people put you in your place, you would abandon the thread with the quickness.

it was you arguing the technical terms that showed us you really didnt know what you were talking about

you need to go read my thread on the OT about false memory syndrome, as that never happened.

until 2013 i never listened to much new anything in EDM. until then i was downloading 5-6 year old ISOS albums randomly

and i can be specific, because i do remember the issue, and it was about dubstep. i made a point about style that had little to do with technical terms and you and zealot tried to turn it into a wikipedia-infused discussion of bpm (when that had nothing to do with the point i was making). if you want to rely on arguments from authority fine, but make them applicable

it's a classic pop song in structure and in delivery with a 4 chord repeat throughout the entire song for intro, chorus, and verse. There is no turnaround or bridge.

The radio edit is 4 minutes long and the original version is over 6.

Bottom line is that this song was meant to be the lead radio single, and it was meant to be a hit. It's got a great hook to it and the material is certainly of "pop" origin.

for christ sakes it's gone triple PLATINUM in the US

to say that RAM is not a "pop" record is like saying the grass isn't green or that "get lucky" isn't in the dorian scale.

BTW: "radioactive" follows the dorian scale as well. two similar songs if you slow them down... it's no wonder they are two very successful pop songs.
