One of my favorite 80’s bands for sure. Great musicians, singers. What was your favorite NR song.

Mine was Don’t Tell Me You Love Me. Thought the two guitars on the solo were fantastic.

I saw them open for Motley Crue (I believe). Very talented group.

I saw them open for Kiss. It was my first concert, so I guess they're technically the first band that I've seen perform on stage.

As much as I love their harder stuff, "Sentimental Street" was the first song I thought of when I read the thread launch. In the era of the overplayed hairspray power ballad, that song is a real jewel. Especially when you consider it was the HSPB follow-up to "Sister Christian."

They released an album last year that absolutely slaps, btw.

They are great & much more talented than many bands of that era. They kind of got pushed out in the mid-late 80’s by the label as they were just too normal looking & didn’t have that bad boy edgy look that all the other bands had at that time. The guitar duo of Brad Gillis & Jeff Watson could play with the best of them. It’s too bad Jeff Watson went nuts & isn’t in the band anymore.

After some thinking on the matter, it may have been Damn Yankees that I saw open for the Crue. Getting old.

They still play together (some of them). My wife saw them a few months back at a corporate event. They sounded pretty good from the videos I saw.

Don’t Tell Me You Love Me is my favorite and was the first music video I ever saw on MTV. I was like “OMG, that’s Ozzy’s guitarist!” I had just seen Ozzy (shaved bald) at the Day of Rock at City Park and Brad Gillis was on guitar after Randy’s death.

Saw Night Ranger a few years ago at the IP in Biloxi and they were great. I left thinking,”Damn, I forgot how many great songs they had.” They did Jack’s hits from Damn Yankees too.

Sing Me Away
Rock in America
A Touch of Madness

I haven't listened to it since I stopped wearing acid washed jeans but I don't remember their first album having a bad song on it.
