False. It happens every time an indie band hits it big. Every time a fad gets to a certain level of popularity, a segment of its fan base will abandon it and suddenly hate it just because other people like it now. It is cyclical and unavoidable. Some people get off on being smarter and more hip and edgy than everyone else, meaning that if "everyone else" likes something, they can't, even if they loved it up to the point that it became popular.

You just have a shitty taste in music. Period.

Heady give me a top jams of the 2nd part of fall tour list in that other thread

I don't feel like going through 20 pages of show reviews on phish.net to figure it out

Don't know if Flyleaf is good but their lead singer -can't recall her name-has a great rock voice.

Lacey

She has a great part in Third Day's song "Born Again"

Worth a listen even if you don't like the words/message. The dissonance in their duet is fantastic.

Overall, along with Creed, Nickelback takes the cake for most-bashed and criticized modern rock bands. So, in your opinion, despite the negatives, what, if any, redeeming qualities do you think Nickelback has?

THEY MAKE BANK. End of discussion. Next.

There's never been a burgeoning christian rock market

there was. cornerstone fest was the yearly mecca for it.

surely you remember jars of clay, DC Talk, and switchfoot?... Christian "rock" has been prevalent since the 80's with stryper leading the charge. The mid 90's-early 2000's was the hay day for the movement.

In their defense though, Creed's videos--like "My Sacrifice"--are hilarious. I mean, the guy is floating around in that little row boat with a look on his face like he just took a big crap in his pants. I should be thanking Stapp for all the laughs.

Holy crap, I just watched this video. That was a good 5 minutes of laughs. At one point two Scott Stapps are in the boat singing to each other.

I won't lie though, I had that CD.

Creed>>Nickelback.

Holy shite, just watched the "my sacrifice" video, forgot how funny that was. What's with all the candles on the school bus, has to be a fire hazard or something

The most uncool rock band ever is the post-1960s Beach Boys. Those guys were living in the past even in the 1970s.
