This is, by far, the worst song they have ever recorded with Frusciante. This is what we get when Frusciante decides to take his ego out of the collaboration.

I'm not a fan of the song and it sort of frightens me about what we might be getting with Unlimited Love. I hope it is an anomaly. I still dig "Black Summer" though.

That album also has some phenomenal music on it.
One weird arse song departed from their sound on an otherwise great album isn’t necessarily a bad thing and The Crunge is terrible because of Plant doing something weird shite with his vocals and the out of place horn section but it’s not some referendum on the band as a whole.
Worst case scenario right now we have a great song and a terrible song with a 17 track album coming out.

Didn’t like it at first. It’s not terrible. It’s pretty funky. Liked it more the 4th or 5th time I heard it

The verses are very good. Just falls a lil flat on the choruses. I like the funkyness of it though.

This is not a terrible song.
It’s a little boring. It’s not super dynamic.
It sounds like RHCP. So if you like them you’ll like it a little bit. It’s not destined to be in your top 50 RHCP (almost said top 10 but they’ve put out so many damn albums now)
