Because it doesn’t effect us in any way unless we are actively being an idiot anyway? It doesn’t much effect my life as someone that has no desire to say it, and doesn’t really care if a black person says it.
Society reacts differently to similar behavior from different types races, genders, religions, etc.... in all kinds of places.
Do you scream into the void at ladies nights happening at bars? Hate seniors discounts? Some black people get to say a word that you don’t.... big frickin deal.
I don't justify any type of discrimination.
I find it pretty sad that you do.

We are in a bad place as a society where individuals are "cancelled" for using a derogatory racial term that a few people have decided only a chosen few can use, but no one is cancelled for taking the Lord's name in vain.

I'm a Christian, with a few variations in my personal beliefs. I as a person, am not responsible for how the world thinks. I can't even control my immediate family, I can only positively influence..maybe. Now, I have standards that I go by, those are personal standards, that doesn't mean that everyone has to have the same standards as I do, this is what freedom is all about. I can't tell anybody what to think, nobody can tell me what to think. If you want it any other way, then you are the fascist. That's a fact.

People who think he said it with the hard R are lying to themselves. This dude is young and listens to rap just like every other guy his age. He was just being a dumb drunk guy.

I’m not arguing it’s some shining example of great behavior by anyone.

Being stupid hurts sometimes.
I’m not saying lock him up, but if he learns a lesson the hard way- I’m sure plenty of us made some dumb mistakes that we wouldn’t mind having back. I’d guess some of us learned from them, some of us didn’t. For his sake, hopefully he reigns it in a bit as the drunken behavior has bit him a couple times recently

Why the frick do you care what Morgan Wallen does when he's drunk after coming home from the bar?
Apparently lots of people don't care since his album sales are up since the incident

So you are totally OK with a guy losing his livelihood and his career that he has worked his entire life to have just because he got drunk in his own driveway and said a word (not directed at anyone) and someone overheard it and decided to make it public?
If so
frick you

Ludicrous. Dude said a WORD that someone has decided 13% of the country can say without penalty while others lose their livelihoods over. A WORD.
Alyssa Milano can brag about killing two kids and keep a career going. People take the Lord’s name in vain all day long without penalty.
Sticks and stones.

I’m not saying he should be black listed from any employment for life. Nor do I think this will ruin his career.

You want to know what should happen to him? Nothing. He should be able to say what the hell he wants to in his own damn yard. Unless it is aimed at someone else, nobody should give one frick about what he says around his friends

I haven't looked at the nine pages of comments but has anyone mentioned anything about Elvis Costello just standing off by himself in a corner whistling nervously after seeing the reaction to this? Because his drunken rambling about Ray Charles was a hundred times worse than what Wallen said and no one on the left has ever said diddly squat poo about it.

Repeating a word that's probably the most popular in a certain segment of music?
I see a lot of fake outrage, nothing else.

bullshite... it took years for him to live down that incident and it hurt his career... it still comes up to that day...
most people on this board probably weren't around d when that happened (1979)

Be honest- you’ve said it quite a few times, haven’t you?

I said it several times just yesterday driving from Mobile to Jackson singing along to The Chronic. Great album. Made Dre and Snoop millions and millions of dollars. Surely the ones who paid those millions are entitled to you know, sing the lyrics. I know I do. But then again I like to pride myself on not being a pearl clutching little bitch.
I also have a best friend who’s black. Roomed with him in college and stood in his wedding. I can promise you he is not even remotely offended by this drunk country singer dude. If you notice it is mainly limp dick white people who are offended. However if you change the tone, the setting and the “a” to an “er” your arse will get smacked. Luckily he has this thing called perspective

I’ll never understand why some white people want to say this word SO BADLY.
