The Murmurs. 80s band based in N.O. If I remember correctly they started as a squeeze cover band and evolved into doing their own music. Had a guy and girl who shared lead vocal duties. They had some good stuff and always enjoyed their shows.

Black Diamond Fun Fair Park

Tim ( BRH 84) went on to to be in the following bands among others, The Producers, Jellyfish, Sheryl Crow and Noel Gallaghers Flying Birds. He’s played with Keith Richard’s, Eric Clapton and everyone in between in the many years he was with Sheryl Crow.

Early 2000s

MP79 out of Nola (changed name to Jakkmove at some point) sounded like RATM - fun dudes we used to play with all the time

Punch People as OP suggested - drummer was sick!! Played a ton with them too

Smack - recently found the old cd I had of them. Awesome band

Static- sounded like Hum - really cool band but this was late 90s and we were young they only played like American legion halls I can remember

Anyone remember a chick singer lead band called Contraband? This would have been late 80s.

Played The Caterie a lot. Led by the miniskirted Monique who is still hot. Patio Daddio was on the bass. I still play with him occasionally.

Yes. They were Lee High kids, at least Monique and Randy were. I think the bass player (Patrick?) was, too.

The Human Rayz
The Noise
The Zoomers
Scooter and The Mopeds
The Look
The Models
Clutch...

Stan Brundy Function - Lafayette band in the late 80's early 90's. The lead guitarist was originally in another area band called Joker. He rejoined Joker when the other four guys headed to Los Angeles. I guess they didn't "make it" as I've seen the drummer around town working as a carpenter.

Neal from SJS was also in this band. The drummer left to start the Chee- Weez.

Baton Rouge had two Louisiana guys in it, but I wouldn't call them a "Louisiana band"...

Sparkly V - this band nearly died several times during an ill advised winter tour of Colorado Mountain towns.

Ultra 64 - claim to fame was being banned for life from Daqauri Cafe after drinking the place dry during a show.

Addis - my brother was friends with the lead singer, so we used to go see them at The Caterie. I think they also played a few times with my brother at The Station.

RIP brock

I definitely had a crush. They played a few of our house parties, so we are talking extremely small venue.
