Why post negatively and ask if they have any good albums if you don't care for them?

Destroyer & Hot in the Shade are solid albums.

If it wasn't for Ace Frehley, the first "superhero" of my youth, I would not be a participant on this board in my usual capacity, so you at least have Kiss to thank for that heh heh.

Their "live" albums (I say that in quotes because they is plenty of post-recording studio and production doctoring) are simply superb.

Their "unplugged" album from the 1990s is a cool listen too in that it shows they have good songs on which to stand, without the support of makeup and costuming and pyro and blood and gain and decibels.

Going to try to get tickets to one of the last two shows at MSG in December. If I can't, Knoxville a week earlier will have to do.

Cool guitar, Fret.

I, too, loved Ace and even dressed as him for Halloween and Mardi Gras as a kid in the same year. Double Platinum was awesome when I was growing up. Couple good songs on Creatures.

Kiss Alive II was a great listen as well.

Cannot listen to them anymore though because Gene and Paul are just too much for me to take. The circus is over. Let it go.

Every kid from Shreveport at one time or another had their face painted like KISS at the Red River Revel.

I'm not a KISS fan, but I respect what they did/do and certainly I like a few of their songs. To me they are like Aerosmith: records are fillers to support the 3-4 stand out tracks they write for each one. Just because I feel this way though doesn't mean others do. I know people that love all things KISS, and that's awesome.

Damn right. Yeah, their first three albums were not so great, but, I'll stand them up against a lot of other hard rock albums coming out at the same time. They rocked. They made no apologies about any perceived lack of talent.

A good friend and bandmate says "It's not rocket science; it's rock and roll."

Kiss rocks. Always has. Don't like it? You can always play your Hansen records.

Ace is cool, by far Mt favorite member of that band ever.

I just can't stand Gene and Peter's singing/playing.

Which is ironic with what they're doing live now..which is not even being live.

First legitimate concert I went to was when I snuck into see KISS as a very young teenager, and Ace was playing with them. Made my way right up front, in front of the stage all night. That was a fun experience at that age.

Geddy Lee said. Say what you want about their musicianship, but their fans leave the show entertained.

Not a fan anymore but Ace Frehely was my first guitar hero.

As a 12 year old with a Hondo LP copy and a Peavey Musician amp with a 2x12 and 10" horn cab, I went through many rolls of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil wrapping my legs and then playing Strutter.

What? Rocks and Draw the Line are awesome (and their first album is critically underrated). Kiss were much spottier with the quality tunes. Black Diamond might be their best song. But generally agree with your assessment. They could write the ear candy pop song too w/ Beth and Back in the NY Groove.

30 plus gold albums. 100 million album sales. Number 1 selling band in US history.

Live show is pretty good.

Wore those out of those as a kid.

Now, I never intentionally play any of their music (well, I did hear Hard Luck Woman on a playlist the other day), but I have been to two KISS concerts in recent years and enjoyed the hell out of them.
