Hard to believe this was released 26 years ago

Incubus is an underappreciated band that got me through bad times throughout the years. I'll never say anything bad about them.

Fun song to play on guitar. Damn I’m getting old!

I was in Denver for something else and they were playing at Red Rocks last year. Great show. I forgot how many popular songs they had.

Great band. I love Mike Einziger's guitar work.

One of the most original sounding rock bands of that time. You knew exactly who it was by those insanely original guitar riffs and Brandon Boyd’s voice inflections. Totally love this band, shout out to the bass line in Are You In

Saw Incubus along with 311 at the Riverside Centroplex, Baton Rouge, LA in 2000.

I can smell the Warped Tour on this post.

Incubus, Sugar Ray, 311 at the Centroplex December 1997. Good times…

Saw Incubus at Grant Street Music Hall in Lafayette in 2000. Outstanding show

While I like the Sugar Ray stuff post-2000, I can’t help but think of what they’d have been like had they stuck with the nu metal/funk metal direction. Those first two albums sound so much different than the rest of their discography.

You are talking about Incubus, right?
Yeah, I loved Science. Make Yourself was great too but that began the departure from their previous sound. I wish they would have just kept it more like Science with a few songs like Drive scattered in there.

Mainly Sugar Ray but it does apply to Incubus too. Sugar Ray is basically yacht rock now. At least incubus still plays alternative.
But yeah the sweet spot was that run between SCIENCE, Make Yourself, and Morning View.

Yeah. Sugar Ray is awesome at yacht rock and they kind of sucked in metal / hardcore. Incubus was better at alternative / nu-metal and pretty good at the softer songs.

I like the first 2 Sugar Ray albums. Maybe because it’s so different.

To each their own. You may be the first person I've seen that likes those.

I’ve got a wide taste. Not ashamed of it.

You shouldn’t be! I’ve got no qualms about other people’s music taste. Whatever makes you happy is all that matters.
