Supposed to be incredible, one of my favorites and I have yet to see a show of theirs.

I saw a show a few years ago. It was alright, good stage show but it didn't blow me away.

I've always heard the production value is incredible.
I hope to catch them at least once.

yeah, it was very well done. I am not a giant fan of them though.
but they had all sorts of shite going on, and they had a lot of people on stage, dancers, lights, etc. Trent's voice isn't what it used to be though.

One of the best shows I've ever been too.
Saw them at Voodoo '05. I bought early bird tickets before the lineup was announced. After Katrina hit, they stopped selling tickets and offered free attendance for emergency service workers, volunteers, firemen, policemen, etc. Previously purchased tickets were honored. I believe it was just a 1 day thing that year, was moved to Audubon Park, and many bands dropped out, and there were only two stages across from each other. I remember being pissed when Foo Fighters dropped out of the concert to play some Tsunami benefit. I still hold a bit of a grudge against them for that.
Anyway, it was a pretty cool scene because it wasn't super crowded. It was also a little depressing because we had to drive through a city that was still in disarray with huge piles of debris still on the side of the road, to go to a music festival...
The day line-up was so-so. I remember seeing Death From Above 1979, but had never heard of them before. The last 3 bands were Cowboy Mouth (ugh), QOTSA, then NIN. Cowboy Mouth's set seemed to go over and the dude played some like 12 minute version of Jenny Says. I remember I had already walked across to the other stage to get a good spot for QOTSA and NIN, but they had to wait for Cowboy Mouth to finish. I kept thinking "uggghhhh when is this going to end???" Finally it did.
QOTSA were awesome. It was pretty much my first time seeing them. But NIN was amazing. With Teeth had just come out that year and it had been a long time since NIN had released any new material (since the Fragile in '99). They had a pretty nice light show behind the stage. At that point, I really had only liked The Fragile and With Teeth, and never got into The Downward Spiral (crazy, I know). Well this concert peaked my interest in that album because he played a good bit from that album all those songs sounded great.
I became a big fan of NIN after that and have been ever since. I still haven't seen them again, but hope to some day.

I saw NIN in 2009 on the NINJA / Wave Goodbye tour and was PISSED when we got there and they opened for Jane's Addiction. Show was just too short and started super early.
I saw them a few years ago at Voodoo and was happy with the show.
Would go see again definitely.

I've seen them 3 times '94, '96 (with David Bowie), and again in 2000. I've seen alot of shows and the only show that I've seen that was more visual was Pink Floyd in the Dome '94. Now that was all a long time ago though so I really can't give you an opinion of how they would be now though. NIN '94 was the 2nd best show I've seen in my life, watching that movie screen while hearing 'hurt' live is something I'll never forget. Of course, the pharmaceuticals helped too.

Almost my exact sentiments. That was how I got introduced to QOTSA and my first NIN show. Saw them again at Voodoo 13 which was awesome and then at The Woodlands with Soundgarden.
Trent is a perfectionist and the stage show reflects that. Awesome sound quality and next level visuals are a given.

They were great at Voodoo in 12 or 13, whenever it was. Caught them at the Woodlands in 14 I think it was and it was pretty boring. Basically, just Reznor and a microphone on center stage. Although, I was off to the side on the lawn, so there may have been more going on dead center. Just a very different vibe between shows to me. That said, I will catch them again given the chance.

Watched them on ACL a few months ago not expecting much, but I was BLOWN away at this performance. Damn.
I just didn't realize how into the music TR got.

One of if not THE best live bands to see. The production can't be matched, and the performance and sound are top notch.
On top of that, you pay $50 for tickets. Reznor may be an a-hole, but he cares about his fans. He has not jumped on the overcharge for tickets bandwagon, and he gives you your money's worth. He is always pushing the limits of technology, and his shows are the modern day Pink Floyd.
