There’s a famous old ad from an alternative publication which published the guitar fingerings for three chords. The text read:

This is a chord.
This is another one.
And another.

NOW GO FORM A BAND.

Ask these guys :

Or any of the following :

Tim Mcgraw
Rascal Flatts
Montgomery Gentry
Bruce Springsteen
Bono

There's many more but this ought to be enough to get started.
(I know I will catch all kinds of flak for this. Just my personal opinion) Rave on !

]

They are all on what I will call my "over-rated" list.

I will acknowledge that they have some talent. I just think they have attained success far beyond what their talent should indicate. Effective PR is a powerful thing.

Well if you can sing and write you don't need to be that great. A few months on most instruments and you should be fine if you have 1 above average musician

A bit of a nonsensical concept.

You're confusing "PR" with something else, holmes.

Like I said, bro, just my opinion. And instead of PR, maybe we should use the term "media hype".

Wait til you hear my thoughts on Marvin Gaye !

if you're a skinny kid with floppy hair and a high voice, you're solid gold.
