Great Multi-instrumentalists

Prince cast such a huge shadow over this group of exceptional talents, no one that proficient at all those instruments ever reached the mass superstardom he did and maintain it for 30+ years. It was well-earned and deserved. What are some other multi-instrumentalists respected for their versatile virtuosity that might have been overlooked? Names like Mike Oldfield and Todd Rundgren emerge. Stevie Wonder was the one-man band standard prior to Prince.

No joke...Dolly Parton. Saw her at HOB-Nola in 01...she played about 7 instruments and played them all well. And she had ginormous fuggin tits.

John Entwistle was a solid horn player and played a variety of horn instruments and layered them to form his own horn section in Quadrophenia. Then they had to hire a horn section for that tour.
Pete Townsend played banjo and accordion on their albums as well.
