Motley Crue - Girls Girls Girls
listened to that cassette on repeat, flipping it over from one side to the other, throughout the summer of '87.
Followed by Iron Maiden's Live After Death, and Metallica - Master of Puppets.

Me, being a little bit older than you -
Hard Rock - Scorpions Blackout - Middle School for me but what really sold me into Hard Rock was Shout at the Devil.
Metal - GOAT Metallica - Master of Puppets.

There really isn't one. The fact that so many of my friends were into these bands in the 80s has left me with a pretty strong dislike for the genre.

Pyromania was the first or second cassette that I ever bought with my own money(got Journey:Frontiers at the same time).

The Metallica Black album was probably my first album that got me into hard rock/metal. I was 10 when it came out and was probably the hardest thing I had heard. Then I got into the older Metallica albums and Tool shortly after.

For metal it was Number of the Beast
For hard rock it was Back in Black or Screaming for Vengeance

Aerosmith. First album. “One Way Street” is a super underrated song.

Van Halen 1984. Then I discovered their previous albums were better. The early Roth Era VH was some great music in its time.

Toss up between Chevelle’s Wonder What’s Next and Breaking Benjamin’s Saturate.

Hard for me to say as I was listening to bands like Cheap Trick and Styx already and then I stumbled into the two that pulle me in:

It was my first purchase as well. Got got it on vinyl in the summer of 1983. Saved my allowance money to buy it. Worth it.
