Gangsta Rap with real gang members

As someone who works with a lot of teenagers from rough backgrounds and has had two kids I knew die to guns and two kids I know now locked up for shooting other kids, can confirm. Drill culture sucks. I’ve always been on the “this music is telling the story and is a symptom of the larger issues” camp until recently. In drill culture, you don’t really have any cred unless you have some bodies on your papers, and these kids give no shits. Maybe I’m just getting old, though.
