Just saw them February in Tempe which I believe ended up being his last US show. Brutal loss

frick this sucks.

Got to see them on the Sonic Highways pop up show in NOLA in 2014. Greatest night of music in my life. Dave swapped places with Taylor for multiple songs, and let Taylor take over completely while he mingled over to the bar. I think they played 30+ songs over three hours that night.

RIP Taylor

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck

So talented...one of my favorite things Taylor did was complete Holy Man by Dennis Wilson (another tragic early loss)....if you have never heard it, give it a listen.

Hopefully Taylor wasn’t using again, but tragic either way.

Statistics of relapse PLUS Colombia??

fricking sad. Grohl needs a team of people around him. Couple dudes who worked security in Afghanistan after military careers to take things away from him and the entire cast from Intervention to sit and talk to him. fricking sucks.

Too young.

I lived a year in Los Angeles and caught a Birmingham band I liked at the House of Blues on Sunset. Most of the people were there to see Hawkins play with a cover band composed of some childhood friends. They did all Sabbath covers.

I’ve never been a fan of the Foo Fighters, but I watched that man destroy what looked like an entry level four piece drum kit. It was very impressive. In an era of drum machines and loops, that boy did the craft justice. RIP.

This one hurts. Pretty eerie because I just finished Dave Grohl’s book last week. He mentions numerous times that Taylor is his soulmate and the Foos wouldn’t be where they are without him.

Rock world has lost two massive drummers in the past year with Hawkins and Joey Jordison

Ugh. Terrible news. Absolute beast on the drums. What a shame.

Foo Fighters has been my favorite band for a long long time. Being a drummer myself - and the same age as Taylor - he’s been one of my favorites. His passion and energy behind the kit is infectious. This hits really close to home. Feels like I’ve lost an old friend or something. Godspeed, Taylor…

well shite

I saw them in laffy a few years ago and they really do put on a great show. that stadium was a pretty shitty venue and they still jammed for 3+ hours. one of my favorite bands of all time, one of my favorite youtube videos of all time is when he sings under pressure while queens drummers kid plays his drum set at new orleans voodoo fest LINK

That's pretty pathetic. Think they'd like to take a mulligan on that one?

I'm a huge Ryan Bingham fan and "My Hero" is an all-time song. That being said, that was a bad cover.

He certainly struggled with parts. I quickly forgave him.
