Concert ticket prices are straight up retarded now. If you can sweat it the best thing to do is wait until an hour before the show when brokers are dumping them on stubhub.

I went to Billy Strings Saturday night and put two fingers in the air. Got in free from some nice people who said they had extras. It was a miracle. I’ll pay up for GnR or something cool, but not the fricking KoL. Also, what up Boat?

It's like that for any event.. sports, concerts, shows

If you have nerves of steel you can get great deals. The only downside is limited selection. I'm big on having aisle seats for anything I'm at which can be tough to swing if you're waiting to by until right before the show.

Wait until the day of the show. They will release face value tickets. But not for Kings of Leon. I cannot promote that.

Dwight Yoakam played last Saturday in Columbia, SC. I had forgotten about the show but them someone emailed me so i started watching ticket prices up to an hour before hand. They never lowered the price despite the place being only 2/3's sold out.

Anyway, this is simple supply and demand. If the artists set their prices low to start, the scalpers would get all the tickets and charge a ridiculous amount anyway. No way I'd pay $440 to see this band even though i like their music and dig their new single: Mustang

Instead of platinum, why you don’t just get the pewter-level tickets?

Their band sucks. They're an age-old tale of a band that used to be gritty, raw, and great and then started listening to too many producers to become some bland, over-commercialized piece of shite.

I saw them at Voodoo around 07 when they all had long hair & dressed like homeless guys. The way the record company cleaned up their appearance after that is truly amazing.

A-Ha Shake Heartbreak and Youth and Young Manhood were staples in my rotation for about 15 years. I love them. You could begin to see it coming on Because of the Times, but it was still really strong. What they became after that actually makes it hard for me to reach back and listen to the good stuff now.

are kings of Leon even that popular anymore? I feel like their mainstream success wasn't very long at all

All big bands choose to use TM's platinum pricing. The post COVID concert money rape.

$55 got me front row GA for Static-X, Sevendust and Dope. $90 for lower level seating for Pantera and Lamb of God. $35 for Shinedown, Papa Roach and Spiritbox
