My favorite in recent years, TV not a movie, was Homeland. In addition to being a great show, Clare Danes' character is a jazz fan so I liked that. Kamasi Washington's music was featured on one intense scene (on headphones), then in the finale they featured her attending a concert by Kamasi.

I think that the Flea and Keidis double cameo from The Chase(1994), starring Charlie Sheen and Christy Swanson, gets people confused about the Keidis only cameo from Point Break(1991).
Henry Rollins played an awesome meathead cop in that too. Kind of a shite movie though.

Henry Rollins is one of my all time fav music dudes, so anything he shows up in makes me happy, don't matter if it's 5 seconds in Heat(getting beat up by Al Pacino? Yeah, right), or as a nerdy future dystopian neuroscientist in Johnny Mnemonic.
I've never watched the show, but people that have tell me he plays a great white supremacist in Sons of Anarchy. He's been in lots of stuff. Even starred in some kind of cannibal/vampire movie called He Never Died that was actually not bad.
