What is your favorite Black Sabbath album? I’ve been getting more into Sabbath lately, and so far my favorite album from them has got to be Heaven and Hell. It is an amazing album from start to finish, with memorable stand out songs.

This one and it was a game changer. Rock, blues, doom, metal all in one.

Asking what is your favorite Black Sabbath album is like asking what is your favorite sexual position. I just go with what is my favorite to listen to.
Master of Reality.

Tough call between Vol 4 and Master of Reality but I'll go with Vol 4.

Masters of Reality and Mob Rules. Same band but the different vocalists/lyrics take the songs in different directions.

RJD is my all time favorite and the run of albums from Heaven and Hell to Mob Rules to Holy Diver is my favorite of all time.

I picked this album up at a convenient store for $6 in cassette form.

My girlfriend lived about a 30 minute drive away, so at 16 I threw this in and really enjoyed it. Driving home at night or in the early morning listening to planet caravan after smoking pot and getting laid takes me back.

Paranoid. Not only was it their best album, but it’s one of the best albums of all time. It was their best selling, and most influential. Nearly every hard rock, and metal musician it seems, cites Paranoid as a personal influence.

Black Sabbath = Ozzy. Paranoid.

Just went back and listed to Vol. 4. Really good. They just sound like they took a big jump in writing, producing, guitar and songs more complex. That is a really good choice too.

I've gotta go Sabotage as well. Megalomania is super nasty.

Hard to pick...probably Master of Reality. Vol 4 is right there too and I think Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Technical Ecstasy are very underrated.

Heaven and hell all day long. Dio is a far better front man than Ozzy

Volume 4 is my favorite but Technical Ecstasy is great. Dirty Women is probably my favorite guitar riff of all time. It is Tony's favorite song to play! I was lucky to see them four times and meet them once. Was my favorite band in high school!
