The band Indecision
Their 1993 album Ponder Yonder is fantastic. They are from Charlottesville, VA.
I last saw them in July 2008 in Charleston, SC. They play once or twice a year now.
They are available on iTunes, Pandora, and Rhapsody.

Scale the Summit gets talked about quite a bit around here. I assume your brother is Mark Michell. I haven't seen them since he joined, but I have seen enough to know he's talented.

Holy Fire was one of my favorite albums last year.
Funny Foals story: I was on a party bus with a bunch of other 40 something professionals one night as we were doing a brewery tour. It was certainly a "cool" crowd, but the music choices were trending toward fairly mainstream and throwback.
Then this attractive, well-dressed Indian woman grabs the Spotify and puts on Foals and makes a comment about how it's her currently favorite band. I was a little blown away.
