Agree. This band is very talented. Any Built to Spill fans should give them a listen. They are expected to release something this year.
A couple of my favorite unknowns:
Cloud Cult - very emotional music. If you've ever lost someone close, a lot of it hits close to home.
Quiet Company - band from Austin. The ablum that this song is on is probably one of my favorites from 2011.

not really unheard of. They sold out two nights at a local venue that holds 350.
To give you a feel, rebirth played a few weeks later and didn't sell the venue out.

Yeah. I guess I'm just thinking about this board. I've never seen a thread about them or seen them mentioned by anyone other than myself. They are a lot more popular in the midwest, but don't seem to have much of a following down south. They rarely tour down here.

i think i started a thread after I saw them live in October. Best show I have seen in several years. Just amazing live performance.

Where'd you see them? The last time I saw them was in Minneapolis in 2008 or 2009. I saw them at SXSW before that. They haven't come down south since then :(.

they did a 60 minute acoustic set, and 90 minute electric set. It was fantastic show. really quite amazing, would travel to see that again.
